Leeds United Ladies will finish their season at Harrogate Railway FC tomorrow when they face Watford Ladies (kick-off 2pm).
The season has been a remarkable one for Leeds, which has seen them finish a best-ever third in the FA Women's Premier League and reach the FA Women's Cup final for the second time in three years. And earlier this week they took their first-ever poin
t off all-conquering Arsenal.

"For me, it's been a great introduction to the women's game," said United manager Rick Passmoor.

"It's my first season here, first season in charge of a women's team anywhere, and a better group of players you couldn't wish to work with.

"They're all motivated to get to the top of their game, but still working as a team – you saw that in the cup final earlier this month.

"We've said all along, this is a very young side, but as they gain more experience they'll be more than capable of taking on anyone.

"I would really like us to finish on a high against Watford. We weren't on form last Sunday against Cardiff and although it has been a very long season for the girls I want them to give one last push and finish with a good performance and a win."

The FA Women's Cup final was played out in front of a record crowd of almost 25,000, and Leeds are hoping that some of their new fans make the trip to Harrogate tomorrow.

"We are offering free entry to any child accompanied by a paying adult.

"It would be lovely to see a big crowd for the last game and it will, I'm sure, lift the players to make that one last effort," said Mel Vauvelle-Don, Leeds' chairperson.

"It's been a very long season for some of them, with international duties for many, and I think they deserve all the support and recognition they get."

Admission on the gate for the game is £4 for adults, and free to any child accompanied by a paying adult and £2 for any other children.
