Simon Hackney believes Leeds United were guilty of under-estimating Carlisle United during the first leg of their play-off semi-final at Elland Road.
The winger was involved in both goals on Monday as Carlisle established a 2-1 advantage ahead of tonight's second leg in Cumbria and he revealed that their convincing display was driven by the suggestion around Elland Road that Leeds could settle the tie inside 90 minutes.
"I was told they thought they weren't going to need the second leg," Hackney said. "But don't under-estimate us, we're a good team with good players. We've not got the money that other clubs have but we've gone out there and shown a bit of heart.
"If we'd gone to Leeds and got a draw we'd have been happy. We've got that little cushion but it's not really a cushion. We don't need to be complacent."

The winger was also central to the move which laid on the Cumbrian's second goal on 50 minutes and he is expected to recover from a minor ankle injury in time to play in tonight's second leg.
Hackney said: "At Brunton Park we've got to show the same attitude and the same endeavour.
"We're in a strong position and now we've got to go back to our ground and do the same thing."
