Out-in-the-cold striker Anthony Elding has moved to Crewe for an undisclosed six-figure fee - ending a near six-month spell in the wilderness at Elland Road.
Elding, who only joined Leeds just before the end of the January transfer window from Stockport County, made just nine appearances for the Whites, starting just two games and scoring once.

The forward was told by McAllister at the start of the summer that he wasn't in his plans and was free to leave - despite having over two-and-a-half years left on his contract.

Crewe - in the market for Elding just prior to his move to Leeds - promptly saw a bid in the region of £150,000 accepted by United last month, only for the player to reject the move.

But it's a case of third time lucky for the Cheshire club, with Elding -from a family of Leeds fans and desperately disappointed to be frozen out at United - having had a change of heart.

Elding, linked with Bradford and Carlisle at the start of the week, has penned a three-year-deal.
