Full-back Robbie Williams says Huddersfield Town are undaunted by the prospect of tomorrow's lunchtime showdown at fierce rivals Leeds United.
Town are just four points off the League One drop zone whereas a home win would put Leeds top should Scunthorpe United fail to win at Bristol Rovers tonight.

Gary McAllister's Whites were outstanding in the second half against Championship side Derby in the Carling Cup on Tuesday but Williams is adamant his Huddersfield side are capable of coping.

Town have just two wins from their last 10 games but Williams has every confidence in a Terriers side currently under the guidance of caretaker-boss Gerry Murphy.

"We've just got to think about ourselves and not worry about them," said Williams.

"If we perform, I think we're good enough to beat any team in our division.

"On our day if we perform we can do that and hopefully we can do that at Leeds.

"It's a Yorkshire derby and it's the biggest game of the season in my eyes. It's the biggest game of the season for the fans as well.

"We've got to go in with a lot of confidence, we've got to turn up and hopefully we can get a good result."

Williams made his Huddersfield debut in last season's fixture at Elland Road in December and it was a first game to forget as Leeds chalked up a 4-0 victory.

A 25-yarder from Jonathan Douglas gave Leeds a 24th- minute advantage and the floodgates opened after half-time with a Jermaine Beckford brace and a strike from Tore Andre Flo.

Williams admits it was hardly a Terriers game to savour but he was impressed with the way his side started and feels the first goal tomorrow, kick-off 12.15pm, will be crucial.

"I had my debut against them last year and we ended up getting done 4-0 but we started off quite well and we were the best team for the first 20 minutes," he said.

"They got a long-range goal and we just seemed to collapse after that.

"If Leeds get on top of you with all those fans then they're going to really cause you problems.

"We've got to start brightly, take it to them and hopefully get that early goal."

In-form Leeds have won their last five league games at Elland Road and are becoming increasingly solid League One title favourites.

Huddersfield's promotion bid is currently way off track but Williams feels there is still time to get involved with a play-off push.

He also knows there would be no bigger boost than victory at Elland Road.

"That would be massive and it would boost all the camp, all the players and all the staff," said the 24-year-old.

"We'd then be hopefully taking that into a good run of games as we've got some nice games coming up against Southend, Leyton Orient and Brighton.

"If we beat Leeds it's a massive boost for everybody and it shows we can beat anybody in our league really.

"We've got a big squad, everyone is playing for their places and I think we can still get in the play-offs.
