It has been crazy having no football games this week or training, I haven't known what to do with myself.
I say that but I have been kept busy with catching up on work, going to awards, weddings and Wembley.

Firstly it was the annual Women's Football Awards in London on Friday. It is always nice to catch up with friends from other clubs and go through a review of the season. Most importantly it is always in a really nice venue starting with a champagne reception followed by a lovely three-course meal before the presentations start.

The most prestigious award for me is the players' player award, which is voted for by your fellow professionals for being the best in the league that year. To receive it is a great honour and I have been lucky enough to win this award twice.

This year it was the turn of Jill Scott of Everton. It was very well deserved as she has had a fantastic season and helped Everton win the League Cup and finish second in the league. I am sure she was doing her Peter Crouch dance by the end of the night! I had to leave quite early to go to Cardiff for my friend's wedding.

I was a bit apprehensive – only knowing a few people – and being completely sober I wasn't sure what to expect.

If any of you watch Gavin and Stacey it was exactly like an episode of that! Everyone was so lovely and welcoming, although I didn't understand half of what they said I just laughed and said yes now and then! The bridesmaid who I hadn't met before was so funny and she made the day. Can you believe she was actually dizzier than me, although I did have my moments.

We were driving back from the hair salon and I was in the back of the car with the wedding dress, when we arrived back at the house I got out of the car and felt something drag out behind me. The dress flew out of the car and dragged over the pavement. It had only got caught on the back of my jeans! Thankfully it was okay but it did make everyone laugh (I think the bride was faking her smile!).

Then after the food I thought I would quickly go to the toilet before the speeches. As I was rushing I managed to find the only bit of cream on the floor and slipped. I did manage to style it out and not many people noticed!

The best bit of the night was when a drunk relative of my friend came up to me saying it's great that we have an international at the wedding. He said he was very privileged to meet an England hockey international. I told him at least 10 times that I played football, but he wasn't listening and continued saying I played hockey. He even wrote in the wedding book it was a great to have the England hockey player Sue Smith here..classic!

Finally and I won't talk too long about this as I am as gutted as the rest of you that Leeds didn't move up into the Championship. I drove to Wembley and then met up with some friends there. The atmosphere was great but unfortunately the result wasn't.
