Hello everyone. The first thing that I want to say is massive congratulations to our star centre midfielder and good friend Rachel McArthur.
She had a little (or should I say rather large) baby girl in the early hours of Saturday morning called Ella Rose (after my niece obviously!). She weighed in at a massive 9lb 8oz – yes, that's right, nearly 10lbs!

She is definitely going to be ei
ther a goalkeeper like her dad, Mike, who played professional for a number of clubs – including Everton and Wolves – or she is going to be a big centre-half.

I am really pleased for them both and wish Macca a speedy recovery and hope she gets back playing as soon as possible. We have plenty of babysitters at the club!

Can you believe our game against Arsenal was called off due to snow? Yes it is April and it's supposed to be getting warmer but instead we were all out building snowmen – I'm not sure I should admit to that.

We are going to have such a backlog of games at the end of the season and will probably have to travel some distance a few times to play our games midweek which will be difficult for a lot of our players due to work commitments etc. So on Sunday we just trained and started our preparation for the FA Women's Cup final and of course the rest of our league games. Bring on the summer league I say.

I received my England call-up this week also, which is a training camp at Bisham Abbey. There will be a few new faces at the camp as there are 28 attending rather than the usual 20, but I am pleased to say our very own Steph Houghton has been selected which is thoroughly deserved due to her performances this season.

The get-together takes place the week before the cup final (so I may have to kick a few of the Arsenal girls, or get Steph to as I am a bit soft!) We get home on the Friday only to play the cup final on the Monday.

From that camp, England manager Hope Powell will select a 20-player squad, which will meet up on the eve of the cup final, to face Belarus. No celebrations for those selected! It will be a busy couple of weeks, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

I have been quite busy this week working at BBC 'Your Game' which is an initiative to try and get youngsters off the streets by playing football, or through music.

It happens all over the country and it is something I really support, especially if it helps to stop this thriving gang and gun culture that is polluting our streets.

If you give the youngsters something to do I truly believe it will stop a lot of the trouble that goes on just because of boredom.

They have young people who want to get into rapping and learning football skills. The people who do them are absolutely amazing. I couldn't even attempt to do some of the things they were doing. I think I will stick with the good old step-over.

We have a home game against Bristol this Sunday at Tadcaster so we would be grateful for all your support. The game kicks off at 2pm.
