ENGLAND scrum-half Rob Burrow reckons Leeds Rhinos need to move up a gear – rather than ease off – now they have guaranteed a top-two finish in engage Super League.
Rhinos take on one of their possible play-offs opponents when they visit fifth-placed Wigan Warriors tonight and Burrow insisted it is a "massive" game for the defending champions.

"We set ourselves a goal with four games to go to get a run going
and to put some performances together," said Burrow.

"We were happy against Bradford two weeks ago, Castleford last week was better and we want to build again and get better.

"There's a lot of improvement still in us and there's no better place to perform than against Wigan at the JJB Stadium."

According to Burrow, the home victories over Bradford and Castleford were an indication that Rhinos have emerged from their poor mid-season run.

"We have been through a slump and some people wrote us off as a club," he said. "But as a group of players, we will stay tight.

"Every team goes through a stage like that in a season. It would be arrogant to think you can go all season destroying teams.

"We have got through it now and we've got a few games left to keep improving.

"We had a good result against Bradford in a really tough game and we improved against Cas. We've got over our slump and hopefully we can kick on."

Wigan are aiming for a sixth successive Super League win over Leeds.

Said Burrow: "People look at them as a bogey team, but to be fair we haven't played that well against them.

"It is not so much that they have been superb, but they are a team we haven't put a good performance together against.

"Last time we played them we lost in the last minute with a missed kick from me. We didn't play well, but we nearly got the result.

"We want to go one better and more importantly, perform well. If we do, the result will take care of itself."

Rhinos are two points adrift of league leaders St Helens – who have a better points difference – but Burrow insisted they will keep chasing while there's a mathematical chance of claiming top spot.

"We aren't going to give in," he said. "We have set a goal of winning our last four games and if we do that, whatever else happens is irrelevant.

"If Saints slip up, great. If not, as long as we are in good form we know we can beat anyone on our day and will fancy our chances of going there and winning in the play-offs.

"we are just concentrating on what we do, We aren't worrying about anyone else."

Rhinos' 19-man squad for tonight includes the 17 on duty against Castleford, plus centre Kallum Watkins and back-rower Simon Worrall.

Rhinos have doubts over Jordan Tansey (knee) and Ian Kirke (foot) and Ryan Hall, Clinton Toopi, Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Ryan Bailey are all out through injury.

Trent Barrett is set to return for Wigan after a hamstring injury.

Darrell Goulding is also added to the 17 on duty in last Friday's win over Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

Still missing are Sean O'Loughlin (shoulder) and Gareth Hock (suspended).

WIGAN WARRIORS: from Mathers, Calderwood, Phelps, Carmont, Richards, T Smith, T Leuluai, Fielden, Higham, Coley, Bailey, Hansen, Tomkins, Paleaaesina, Colbon, McIlorum, O'Carroll, Barrett, Goulding.

LEEDS RHINOS: from Webb, L Smith, Ablett, Senior, Gibson, McGuire, Burrow, K Leuluai, Diskin, Peacock, Ellis, Kirke, Sinfield, Scruton, Lauitiiti, Burgess, Tansey, Watkins, Worrall.

REFEREEE: Ashley Klein (Keighley).
