Leeds Rhinos are through to the quarter-finals of the Carnegie Challenge Cup after surviving a huge scare in a thriller at Harlequins.

Quins overturned a 20-point deficit to lead by four with time running out, but two last-gasp tries saw Leeds squeeze through 36-26.

Rhinos led 18-4 at the break and 24-4 just three minutes into the second-half, before Quins staged a remarkable fightback.

Teenage full-back Ben Jones-Bishop raced 70 metres for Rhinos' first try before Tony Clubb replied for Quins.

Danny McGuire danced over and Scott Donald crossed just before the break, with McGuire adding a second soon after the interval, all Leeds' tries being converted by Kevin Sinfield.

A Danny Orr try gave Quins hope, then Henry Paul touched down twice and Orr crossed again to edge Quins 26-24 ahead.

Will Sharp thought he'd sealed it for the home side when he crossed with seven minutes left, but David Howell's pass was ruled forward.

Quins held out until four minutes from time when Jamie Peacock stormed over from close range to nose Rhinos back ahead and McGuire's hat-trick wrapped things up on the final play of the game, Sinfield maintaining his 100 per cent record with the boot.
