TONIGHT'S visit of Bradford Bulls is a "must-win" game for Leeds Rhinos, boss Brian McClennan believes.
McClennan has identified sticking together and keeping to the game plan as the crucial ingredients for Rhinos as they aim to get their season back on track following a run of five defeats in eight games.

Rhinos have beaten Bulls three times already this year and are looking to complete a clean sweep against their fiercest rivals for the first time in the summer era, but McClennan insisted: "The big incentive for us is to play well.

"It is a really important match for the club in many, many regards. I can think of 100 reasons why we need to play really well.

"It has become a must-win match for us and in the context of the season it is a big match for both teams.

"We are both in a similar position, we've not been in great form, but we are both jockeying for positions in the top-six.

"It's coming to that stage of the season, when end goals are coming fast and there's a lot at stake.

"That's what brings out the best in teams.

Both sides are going to be committed to playing well."

Rhinos had won successive league fixtures before last weekend's defeat at Warrington Wolves.

McClennan denied that reverse was a step backwards, but admitted that lessons must be learned.

"I think in the circumstances of what we've been through over the last month, what happened was players were trying to solve problems on their own and not working within the system," he said.

"They understand that you have to work within the system and trust your team-mates to do their role.

"If you do that, you end up distributing your work rate and you end up having all the arrows heading in the same direction.

"As a group we strongly believe in and we have got absolute commitment to where we are going.

"We know we are inches and seconds away from really piecing together a great game.

"We are excited about that this week.

"We are concentrating on ourselves, but to be able to get out and piece our game together to play against Bradford, that makes it even more appealing.

"We are excited about what we can do and we believe strongly in ourselves and how good we can play.

"This is an opportunity to get a kick-start and to crack on with playing really well this year."

Victory for Rhinos would see them move level on points with leaders St Helens and go five clear of third-placed Les Catalans Dragons, with both rivals playing their game in hand tomorrow.

Saints host in-form Warrington Wolves while Dragons entertain Wigan.

Leeds are boosted by the return to their squad of full-back Brent Webb, after a three-match lay-off due to a back injury.

McClennan said that Webb's chances of playing are "good" and he added: "He makes us a better team."

Prop Nick Scruton, is included in Rhinos' squad to face the team he is expected to join next season.

Scruton is understood to have rejected Rhinos' offer of a new deal and Bulls are poised to step in when the anti-tampering deadline expires at the end of this month.
