Second helping for trio

Yorkshire PGA champion John King, Waterton Park assistant Adam Davison and former Leeds Open winner Paul O'Donnell, from Cookridge Hall, were the leading Yorkshire players in the east qualifying round of the Leeds Cup.
The trio all shot a three-under-par 66, two back from Chris McDonnell, an assistant from Hexham who bagged top spot in the chase for places in the £17,000 tournament at Cobble Hall on August 19 to 21 thanks to an eagle at the long 11th.
Vacancies, at £300 per team, exist for the pre-tournament pro-am on August 18. Details are available from Leeds club manager Steve Clarkson on (0113) 2659230.
