What is it?
Microdermabrasion is a form of exfoliation, using a machine rather than a cream, that removes the uppermost layer of dead skin cells and promotes the growth of healthy new cells.
The immediate effect is a healthy glow and smoother,
softer skin texture.
The mechanical action also reduces the appearance of fine lines and acne scarring, unclogs pores, stimulates the production of collagen and helps fade age spots and hyperpigmentation – dark patches often caused by sun damage.
It's really good for congested skin and people with blocked pores as it brings any impurities to the surface.
There are two types of microdermabrasion – aesthetic-grade and medical-grade.
MySpa offers the latter, which gives a deeper exfoliation, leading to more noticeable and lasting results.

What's involved?
Tiny crystals (micro-crystals) are blasted on to the skin and vacuumed up through a delicate hand-piece.
It's like a very gentle form of sandblasting, with the effect of a skin-polishing peel.
First the therapist cleanses the skin, then switches on the machine and slowly works her way all over your face with the little tube.
