THAT old saying about taking care of the pennies is about to take on a whole new meaning with the launch of a fundraising drive with the help of a Leeds firm.
Clarion Solicitors' intellectual property team is working with the Penny On initiative, which is aiming to promote 'effortless giving'.

Leigh Martin of Clarion said: "Penny On is a brilliantly simple idea and has ambitious plans to establish itself as a leading fundraising initiative throughout the world. It is essential to ensure that the concept is adequately protected."
The idea is being piloted in Lancashire and Cheshire and will be soon be rolled out across the rest of the North.
Concept founder Martin Dewhurst said: "Penny On is asking for such a small amount, literally 1p, that it really couldn't be more inclusive.
"Our desire is to inspire solutions to world issues, both on our doorstep and overseas, and to respond directly to what communities want.
"The pennies will add up to a staggering sum."
