DANOPTRA Gaming Group, the UK's leading gaming manufacturer and gaming machine operator and a leading operator of leisure facilities, based in Leeds, has announced the appointment Keith Hamill as Non Executive Chairman.
The position was previously held jointly by Geoff Westmore and Philip Walters who left the company following their contribution to the recent completion of Danoptra's refinancing deal with a group of financial institutions, led by Credit Suisse Group
.

Keith Hamill will look to support the future growth of the company including the integration of Inspired Gaming Group's former pub division with its own subsidiary Gamestec.

Heavyweight

Commenting on the appointment, Derek Lloyd, Group Chief Executive of Danoptra, said: "Keith is a well respected businessman with a wealth of experience in the leisure and retail sectors.

"He brings real heavyweight support to Danoptra and his appointment underscores the Board's intent to take the business to another level."

Keith Hamill said: "Danoptra has moved forward a great deal in the past 12 months including the refinancing of the business, the Fit for the Future programme in Gamestec, and the purchase of Inspired Gaming Group's pub division.

"But I believe this is only the start for Danoptra and the prospects for the group are very encouraging."

The new chairman is credited with turning around the fortunes of Moss Bros after his appointment with the retailer in 2001 and was involved with the development of Travelodge, where he remains chairman.
