PROPERTY agents DTZ has advised Bridgewater Place on the completion of the final commercial letting at the tallest building in Leeds.

DWF has agreed a 15-year lease, with an option to determine on the tenth anniversary, with DWF Solicitors who are taking 31,000 sq ft of office space.

Eamon Fox, associate director at DTZ, said:

"This is the final deal in the building, which m
eans we have let the whole building within 12 months of practical completion."

New offices for Brilliant Media

ACTING on behalf of Morley Fund Management, Jones Lang LaSalle has let 10,137 sq ft of office space at 1 City Square, Leeds, to Brilliant Media.

The media communications agency has agreed a new 10-year lease at a rent of £24.50 per sq ft.

Lee Conroy from Jones Lang LaSalle's Leeds office, said: "As an existing tenant in the building, this letting has almost doubled the amount of floor space now occupied by Brilliant Media."

Existing tenants include accountants Deloitte and serviced office provider Palladia. Brilliant Media was represented by Carter & Co.

Sale of new shopping centre

LEEDS-based developer Sterling Capitol has sold a brand new shopping centre in Redcar, Cleveland, to Mowden Park Estates for £2.36m.

Roseberry Shopping Centre, a 30,000 sq ft development, features six ground-floor retail units with a seventh unit at first floor level.

Pick of the crop to build centre

YORKSHIRE Agricultural Society has appointed building contractors for its planned Regional Agricultural Centre for the North after a competitive tendering process.

Houseman & Falshaw Ltd, of Harrogate, will begin work next month on the £5.1m development at the Great Yorkshire Showground, in Harrogate.

The project will involve the creation of a suite of offices, a café and shop.
