A DOZEN women will be offered the chance to take a step closer to realising their dreams of working from home with an opportunity to learn from the boss of a West Yorkshire-based Virtual Assistance business.
Nadine Hill of The Dream PA, is to host a six week telecourse for aspiring Virtual Assistants (VAs) which aims to divulge insider secrets on the industry and the practicalities of starting up a business, as well as documenting the real life highs and
lows experienced by The Dream PA in its first three years of trading.
The course has been developed to support the Spark campaign, a national initiative to encourage UK women to consider enterprise and to help them make their business dreams become a reality. Normanton-based Nadine is a Spark Ambassador, supporting women's enterprise, and also a longstanding supporter of the Girls! Make Your Mark campaign which focuses on supporting girls and young women in enterprise.
Nadine said: "I am passionate about helping other women to succeed in business. We are excellent natural multi-taskers and often possess many of the attributes needed to be successful in business – we just need a bit of guidance.
"My industry, Virtual Assistance, is an emerging area because of the rise in technology allowing more people to work effectively from home and it is also a career that can be carved around the needs of young children which makes it especially appealing to mothers."
Jane Walton of the Spark/G!MYM campaign said: "As a Make Your Mark ambassador Nadine is an inspiration to women who aspire to develop their business ideas into reality and balance this with their family commitments.
"This programme will provide women with the information they need to make that first step on the enterprise journey and stimulate the creation of businesses across the region."
The six week telecourse will start on two separate dates for six delegates per course. Visit www.thedreampa. co.uk/telecourse.html for more information or to register for the course.
