She has worked for a variety of well known retail brands all over the UK including Karen Millen and Debenhams. In her new role, she is responsible for driving the business, managing all staff and working to promote the retailer's reputation as a "quirky and fun retail experience".

Beverley said: "JOY is a really exciting brand to work. Our aim is to create a unique shopping experience for all customers by being creative and individual whilst offering cutting-edge fashion, accessories and gifts."

JOY, which has 28 stores in the UK, opened its Leeds store at retail and leisure venue, The Light, in May 2005.
