Airport talks over routes

TONY Hallwood, commercial and aviation development director at Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA) is attending the 2008 Routes Conference next week in Porto, Portugal.

Over 200 regional airlines and airports across Europe will meet to discuss new air service opportunities and Mr Hallwood will be seeking further destinations to LBIA's growing network of routes.

The airport says "high on the agenda" will be new r
outes to France, Eastern Europe and Pakistan. The airport confirmed last week that its current route to Pakistan was being scrapped at the end of this month.

Bath firm boss guest speaker

THE boss of bath company Clearwater Collection will reveal how he is developing the company into an international brand during a business luncheon in Shipley.

Darren Allison will be the guest speaker at a lunch hosted by business club The Met Club on Thursday, May 22, at Yo Yo Bar & Restaurant, between 12pm and 2pm.

Clearwater, which is based in Bowling Back Lane, Bradford, was founded in 1999 by Mr Allison and has since grown into an international company employing 300 people.

It is the largest acrylic baths in Europe.

Free briefing for lawyers

LEEDS law firm Lee & Priestley is inviting in-house lawyers from across the region to attend a free briefing at its offices in Leeds on May 21.

"How did it all go wrong? The value of your business and protecting it when problems arise" will examine four main areas of risk and the strategies and methods available to help lessen those risks.
