LAW firm Hammonds in Leeds has advised Redhall plc on its recommended takeover offer of the Chieftain Group plc for £18.6m in cash.

Redhall is a well-established Wakefield-based engineering services group, which serves a range of specialist markets including nuclear, oil and gas, food manufacturing and defence.

The Chieftain Group, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, is an engineering services firm which provides outsourced industrial and engineering support services to the marine, petrochemical, power, oil and gas and process sectors.

New flights to Barcelona

LOW fares airline Ryanair has launched its new scheduled service from Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA) to Girona Barcelona.

The new service operates four times weekly and complements Ryanair's other new route from Leeds Bradford, Alicante, which launches on October 28.
