All-conquering Leeds City Athletics Club will be hitting the ground running this term – thanks to a new two-year sponsorship deal with Park Lane College.
Leeds City AC, promoted to the British League for the forthcoming track season, currently boast national year titles in both road and cross-country events and successful junior and young athlete track and field teams.

The club provide a range of
opportunities for both able-bodied and disabled athletes and in 2007 won the England Athletics Regional Inclusivity Award.

The sponsorship agreement is in line with the college's social agenda, and is aimed at enhancing the opportunities available to young athletes, the equipment available at the club, and training opportunities for the community.

Club president and former Olympian, Veronique Marot, said: "We're so pleased an institution such as Park Lane College Leeds has taken an interest in us.

"This sponsorship allows us to provide more for our athletes, including significant travel and entry costs, equipment, subsidised physiotherapy, injury prevention programmes, and coaching development."
Park Lane College deputy principal, David Fell, said: "I am delighted that we are able to support the Leeds City AC and hope they can continue to attract up and coming athletes."
