The Leeds Schools Cross Country League gets under way tomorrow with the first of five events taking place at Middleton Park.
Several hundred runners are expected to turn up for races from under 11 to under 19 level with the first event at 10am.

Meanwhile, Paula Radcliffe has confirmed that her first major race since the Beijing Games will come at the ING New York City Marathon on November 2.

That will be less than three months after an injury-ravaged preparation, including a fractured left femur, took its toll on an emotional day in the Chinese capital. as Radcliffe limped home in 23rd place.
