STEVE NEILL (Pudsey and Bramley) won the Rothwell 10K road race in style getting clear of the 660-strong field in the early stages and going away to win by almost 400 metres from Bingley veteran John Convery.
Neill's winning time was 31:39.

Another Pudsey and Bramley runner, Richard Pattinson, was fourth but Bingley, with Tim Midgeley taking third place, took the team honours.

The women's race was close with Ilkley's Sarah Jarvis pushing winner Melissa Neal (Peterborough) all the way. Bingley's Sue Becconsall finished a close third.
