Fisher leads from start for easy win

Ian Fisher (Otley) won the Norton nine-mile road race near Doncaster with ease yesterday after beating Leeds City's Chris Birchall by over a minute.

Fisher took the lead from the start to record his second road victory in successive weeks and his time of 46.55 was good in the windy conditions.

A strong second half saw Birchall consolidate second place ahead of Rotherham's Richard Harris.
