The Leeds Half Marathon takes place on Sunday with some 4,000 runners expected to take part.
Heading the list is Otley's Ian Fisher, winner of several Yorkshire half marathon titles as well as numerous county titles at other distances.

Tim Crossland (Leeds City), fourth last year, is again among the entries and other local athletes expected to be well placed include Sean Cotter (Leeds City) and Tim Midgley (Bingley). Andrea Dennison (Bingley), second last year, Jenny Guard (Leeds City) and Pauline Munro (Bingley) should do well in the women's race.

The race starts and finishes in Millennium Square and gets under way at 9.30am.

Sisters Amy and Katy Marchant (Leeds City) compete for England in the under 17 heptathlon in the Home Countries international at Stoke tomorrow and Sunday.
