But Lorimer was a player for whom the word ‘legend’ merely isn’t enough.
Lorimer was Leeds United royalty.
His passing was grieved by the whole of football, but most keenly felt by the Elland Road faithful.
The pride of Friday night, mixed with the tearful nostalgia of Saturday morning.

Lorimer embodied Leeds United. He will be sorely missed.
He would have been as proud as anyone on Friday night.
Have a good week.
