Patrick Bamford opens up on Leeds United's 'anger and frustration' heading to Wolves

Leeds are heading to Molineux looking to bounce back from last weekend's 4-2 reverse at Arsenal in which Marcelo Bielsa's Whites were 3-0 down at half-time.

Striker Bamford, though, says Leeds were alerted to what went wrong in the first half when watching back a re-run and will now channel their feelings towards tonight's clash at Molineux.

Assessing his side's match review of the Arsenal defeat, Bamford told The Official Leeds United Podcast: “It’s always worse going through a game when you’ve lost it.

"I think that you probably learn more but it’s harder to watch back.

“After the game we didn’t realise the fact that we were actually pressing in the right way but just that we were late to every press and that got highlighted.

“It’s something that we have just to learn from we said and put all our frustration and anger towards Friday, that was the end message.”

Assessing what went wrong with United's press, Bamford explained: "We didn't get it wrong, we were just out of time, out of touch I think a little bit.

"After watching the video we were pressing in the right sequences but we were just slow to every press.

"We were getting to the press where we were meant to be but we were a yard off it so we weren't tight enough so they could then move the ball around us.

"It looked like we were chasing shadows for a good chunk of the first half and then we just didn't deal with playing out from the back as well as we should.

"They had their game plan down to a T in the way they penned us in and how we wanted to play out which I think we struggled to get to grips with.

"In the second half, the reason why the manager was so frustrated with us was because in the second half we came out and I know it's easy to say that at 3-0 down there is no pressure but we came out and played the way that we should have played in the first half.

"Ultimately, if we had played that way through the whole game it would have probably have been a different result.

"That first half especially was frustrating, I'm not going to lie."
