Bournemouth boss Gary O’Neil has revealed that a Cherries trio will miss Saturday afternoon’s Premier League clash against Leeds United at Elland Road.

Captain Lloyd Kelly, regular starting goalkeeper Neto and Wales international midfielder David Brooks remain sidelined for the south coast side who have no other new injury worries. Centre-back Kelly suffered an ankle injury in the approach to September’s clash at Newcastle United and has not featured since whilst Brazilian ‘keeper Neto picked up a hamstring injury during the 2-0 defeat at West Ham United at the end of last month in which Mark Travers came on for the second half replace Neto in goal. Brooks, who received the all clear from cancer in May, picked up a hamstring problem in August and has yet to feature competitively this term.

Speaking at Thursday afternoon’s pre-match press conference, O’Neil said: "We’re the same as we were on the injury front. I think it comes too quick for Lloyd Kelly and too quickly for David Brooks. Lloyd is making big strides, the World Cup break might come too soon for him but we’ll have to see on that one. I don’t know if we’ll see David Brooks before that break. Neto will miss out on this one and won’t play again before the World Cup.”

Bournemouth are one place and one point above 15th-placed Leeds in the table but the Whites have a game in hand.
