Key Battle - Liam Bridcutt v Luke Freeman

Freeman is a creative midfield presence and the sort of player who Championship clubs will try to poach if Bristol City go down this season. But Bridcutt has been good and solid in front of United’s defence and that’s the area which Freeman will try to attack and exploit. Theirs should be a running battle.

Key Man - Aaron Wilbraham

The experienced striker is the only City player who looks like getting anywhere near double figures and he’s big enough and strong enough to cause Leeds problems. This might be a day for someone like Sol Bamba - adding power and physicality to the backline - and City will expect Wilbraham to run himself to a standstill up front. Look out as well for Kieran Agard, the player who turned August’s dramatic 2-2 draw at Ashton Gate.

City’s victory over Middlesbrough on Saturday proved that they do have lead in their pencil but Boro will be raging over that result and Leeds will do likewise if they take nothing from tomorrow’s game. Without being unkind to City, their record is woeful: 13 defeats, 46 goals conceded and less than a goal a game scored. In the right mood, a good side should have their number.
