1. Corrine Bailey Rae
Songstress Corrine Bailey Rae was born in Leeds in 1979 and went on to study English language and literature at the University of Leeds. She has spoke openly about the death of his husband Jason Rae, who was found dead in his flat in Hyde Park in 2020. 2. Alan Bennett
Alan Bennett was born in Armley in May 1934 and attended Leeds Modern School (which is now Lawnswood School). The playright went on to get a first-class degree in history at the University of Oxford. 3. Malcolm McDowell
International actor Malcom McDowell was born in Horsforth and lived their for many years before the family moved to Bridlington and then Liverpool. One of his most famous roles was in Stanley Kubriks controversial A Clockwork Orange in 1971. He later went on to star in films like Calgiula and more recently, films like Easy A, The Artist and Bombshell. He lives in California and has five children. 4. Jeremy Dyson
One of the four Leauge of Gentlemen writers, Jeremy Dyson was born in Leeds in 1966. He attended The Grammar School at Leeds and then went on to study at the University of Leeds. After the sucess of the Leauge of Gentlemen he went on to become a successful script writer working on shows such as The Armstrong & Miller Show, Dead Boss and Ghost Stories. 5. Marco Pierre White
Chef and restaurateur Marco Pierre White was born in Leeds in 1961 and left Allerton High School in Leeds without any qualifications and decided to train as a chef. He worked at the Box Tree in Ilkley before moving to London to begin classical training with Michael Roux. He went on to work on television shows such as Hell's Kitchen and Masterchef Australia.
6. Mike Tindall
Mike Tindall was born in Otley and educated at the private Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Wakefield before begining his rugby union career. He was part of the England squad that won the 2003 Rugby World Cup. he is now married to Zara Phillips, the oldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and they have two children.
