Go wild for 30 days to connect with nature
More than 18,500 people took part in the ‘30 Days Wild’ initiative last June and organisers hope to capture even more people’s imaginations as it launches this year’s challenge.
Around 300,000 ‘Random Acts of Wildness’ - different ways to connect with, experience and take action for nature - were carried out in the initiative’s first year and two months after taking part, a University of Derby study found that the number of people reporting their health as ‘excellent’ increased by more than 30 per cent.

“Last year over 700 people participated in 30 Days Wild across Yorkshire. Many used the experience to help them unwind from a busy day, others found it a great opportunity to spend quality time with their family and everyone learnt something new about wildlife in their local area.
“30 Days Wild is a challenge to do something wild every day for 30 days across June, but we know that life can get a bit hectic, when you sign up you will receive a pack to help ensure you get the most out of your experience.”
The charity hopes more people will take action regularly to look out for nature as a result of taking part in the challenge.
