Manager 'bitten on ear' as police called to assault at Gipton shop

Police were called to AS Superstore on Oakwood Lane at 3.51pm where they found a man had been assaulted.
An eyewitness said the shop had been "trashed" and the manager had been assaulted by youths - because he refused to sell them cigarettes.

Hide AdIn a post on Facebook group LeedsPlace, the eyewitness said: "I went into AS Superstore this afternoon and found the shop had been trashed and the manager assaulted by a gang of 13/14 year old children.
"The manager has been bitten badly on the ear and sustained other injuries.
"The reason for the assault? The manager refused to sell these children cigarettes. How sad."
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said there have not yet been any arrests and enquires are ongoing.
