It is the fourth time Hodgson has committed an offence of domestic violence against his partner.
After the latest attack, the victim told police: "I just want a happy life and have never got it.

Peter Hodgson, 60, was jailed for 20 months at Leeds Crown Court over the attack at their home on Cockshott Drive, Armley, on February 27 this year.
Anna Bond, prosecuting, said Hodgson and the woman have been married for 30 years and have children.
The attack happened after the couple had a row and the defendant picked up an ornament and struck her in the eye.

Hide AdThe woman managed to run from the property to a neighbour's house.
She needed treatment in hospital to a cut above her eye and was not able to see out of it for days after the attack.
Hodgson was arrested and told police: "We had an argument. I got p***** off and I reacted."
He refused to comment further when interviewed.
Hodgson pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He has previous convictions for assaulting the woman.

Hide AdHodgson attacked the woman in 2018 by slamming a door on her arm.
In 2020 he headbutted his wife before attacking her with a dog lead.
Ms Bond said the latest offence was aggravated by the fact that Hodgson has three previous convictions against the same victim.
Phillip Mahoney, mitigating, said Hodgson has never been to custody before but accepted he would be facing a custodial sentence.
Mr Mahoney said his client accepted that his marriage is now over.
Hodgson was made the subject of a restraining order banning him from approaching the victim or contacting her via social media.
