Armed police attended a house in Harehills this week, but officers were not able to catch the man they were after.

At 7.53pm on Wednesday, police received a report of a man who was wanted for an assault entering an address in Ashton Road, Harehills.

Armed officers were deployed to the address, saying their information suggested the man “was linked to firearms matters”.

Officers carried out a search of the address, but the subject was not located.
